DATA HANDLING PRACTICES

How We Protect and Manage Your Information

Sound data handling is not a checkbox for 0q1 — it shapes how we architect every part of the account flow, from onboarding to payment processing.

Encryption at Rest and in Transit

Every data record linked to your account — identity documents, payment references, session tokens — is encrypted using AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. No unencrypted personal data is stored on our servers.

Cookie and Tracking Disclosure

We use session cookies, analytics cookies and preference cookies. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Analytics cookies measure page performance only and do not carry personally identifiable data beyond anonymised device IDs.

Account Security Controls

Two-factor authentication is available on all 0q1 accounts and we strongly encourage you to enable it. Login attempts from unrecognised devices trigger an email alert to your registered address before access is granted.

Data Retention Periods

Account data is retained for the duration your account is active plus seven years thereafter, in line with financial record-keeping obligations. After that window, data is deleted from our primary servers and any backups on a rolling quarterly schedule.

Third-Party Data Sharing Limits

Payment processors (UPI rails, Paytm, PhonePe) receive only the fields required to complete a transaction. Analytics vendors receive anonymised identifiers. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers under any arrangement.

How to Request Changes to Your Data

Log in to your account, navigate to Settings → Privacy, and submit a data request form. Requests for account deletion are processed manually by our privacy team; expect a confirmation email within 48 hours of submission.

Privacy Questions We Hear Most Often

These questions cover the data rights and privacy practices that matter most to account holders in India. If you do not find the answer you need here, reach out through the contact paths listed in the section above.

We collect your full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, country of residence and the payment identifiers linked to your UPI, Paytm or PhonePe account. We also log IP addresses and session timestamps for security and fraud prevention.

We share data only with payment processors needed to complete your transactions and with analytics vendors who process anonymised data. We do not sell personal data to marketers, data brokers or any unrelated third parties.

Log in and visit Settings → Privacy to submit a subject access request, or email [email protected] with your registered email address. We will provide a structured copy of your data within 30 days of receiving your request.

Yes. Submit a deletion request through the Privacy settings page or by email. We will delete your data from active systems within 30 days, subject to financial record-keeping obligations that may require us to retain certain transaction records for up to seven years.

We use session cookies to keep you logged in, analytics cookies to measure page performance, and preference cookies to remember your settings. You can manage cookie preferences through the cookie banner on your first visit or via your browser settings at any time.

Some of our infrastructure and analytics vendors operate servers outside India. Where this occurs, data transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards. Access to our platform depends on local law and is available where local law permits.

Once you close your account, your data moves to a restricted archive retained solely for legal and financial compliance purposes. After the seven-year retention window expires, all personal data is permanently deleted from primary storage and backup rotations.
